Arc Angels is a dance program designed to provide individuals with special needs the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and connection that dance brings. Through movement, music, and creativity, dancers build skills, friendships, and memories in a supportive environment.
A Program Inspired by Purpose
In 2017, Allegany Arc approached Kate Martelle about teaching dance classes for individuals with different abilities. What began as a single opportunity quickly became one of the most meaningful parts of her dance journey.
Kate's passion for adaptive dance is rooted not only in her professional experience, having worked with individuals with different abilities for more than 22 years, but also in her personal life. As the aunt and caregiver to her nephew, Ryan, she has witnessed firsthand the confidence, connection, and joy that meaningful opportunities can create.
Inspired by the dancers she met through Arc, Kate knew this program needed to continue growing. Today, Arc Angels provides a welcoming space where dancers can express themselves, build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the joy of dance in an encouraging and supportive environment.
