Metamorphosis Dance Team is where dancers challenge themselves, build confidence, and grow both technically and personally. Through focused training, performance opportunities, and a supportive team environment, dancers are encouraged to embrace their growth and discover what they're capable of achieving.
More Than a Competition Team
The name Metamorphosis represents a beautiful and gradual transformation, a change in form, nature, and soul.
When Martelle Dance Academy launched its competition team in 2023, it began as an opportunity to explore what was possible. Over the seasons that followed, something incredible happened. The team grew, not just in numbers or technical ability, but in confidence, character, and connection.
Metamorphosis was created with the belief that competition is about more than awards and placements. It is about the journey. It is about learning discipline, building resilience, supporting teammates, and discovering the strength that comes from growth. Because growth is not always loud or linear. Sometimes it happens quietly, through hard work, dedication, and the courage to keep becoming.

Training That Inspires Growth
Metamorphosis dancers receive focused training designed to help them develop as well-rounded performers while building confidence and artistry.
Ages: 5-18 years
Training: Once a week on Thursdays - 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Dress/Costume: Team requirements are laid out in the team contract.
Cost: A separate payment plan is available for Metamorphosis, please inquire for details.
What’s Included:

Dancers focus on proper execution, turns, leaps, lifts, strength, flexibility, control, and genre-specific technique. A mandatory Metamorphosis Team Bootcamp is required at the start of each new season.

Students develop musicality, expression, stage presence, and the ability to connect with an audience.

Beyond the choreography, dancers learn responsibility, communication, commitment, and the value of supporting one another.

Team members have opportunities to perform in group competition numbers, duets, trios, and solos, community showcases and events, and other performance opportunities while representing Martelle Dance Academy.
